A paper-cut moon rising over layered violet paper hills

Overview

Moonlit Press publish bedtime stories for children aged three to seven, and wanted an app that calmed rather than stimulated. No points, no streaks, no autoplay. We designed every screen as a stack of cut-paper layers, lit from one side, so a page turn feels closer to lifting tissue than swiping a feed.

Motion is slow and physical: layers parallax with the tilt of the device, and the moon drifts to wherever a small finger last touched. Colour dims gently over the course of a story, so the final page arrives almost dark. Narration is optional and follows the text word by word. Parents tell us the last page finally does its job.
